REMUNERATION PACKAGE
The total remuneration package is determined in accordance with Government Gazette No. 50737, Notice No. 9/2024 and Notice No. 26/2024, which stipulate remuneration packages, as follows:
REMUNERATION LEVEL: Annual Package (ZAR)
MINIMUM-MAXIMUM: R 1,174,283- R 1,291,138
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
•National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) at NQF Level 7 or above.
•Preference shall be given to a candidate with CPMD/MFMP.
EXPERIENCE:
•A minimum of five (5) year’s relevant experience in financial management at senior and middle level, of which two (2) years must be at senior management level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
•A valid Code B (or higher) Driver’s Licence.

SCAM ALERT
Johannes Phumani Phungula Local Municipality wishes to warn members of the public about a scammer who identifies himself as Bongani Mashaba, falsely claiming to be an official of the Municipality.
The individual has been approaching households in and around Ixobho, alleging that properties are scheduled for immediate service disconnection due to outstanding municipal account arrears. Victims are then pressured to make on-the-spot cash payments, with amounts reportedly as high as R7 000.
The Municipality wishes to categorically state that it does not conduct door-to-door cash collections, nor does it demand immediate payments in this manner. Residents are urged not to make any payments to individuals claiming to represent the Municipality and to verify all account-related matters through official municipal offices or authorised channels.
Members of the community are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Municipality or the South African Police Service
